Szolidaritás mozgósítása a kommunikációban

A nyilatkozat:
A commitment to solidarity from communications professionals and researchers around the world for a healthier, viable and better world
An unprecedented planetary crisis – A mobilization of solidarity in communication
With its health, social, economic and financial ravages, the coronavirus pandemic that has hit all regions of the Earth since the beginning of 2020 depicts the most serious crisis our world has experienced since the last century and more particularly since the Second World War. And communication is directly involved.
Gaps are widening everyday, revealing wider vulnerabilities in several regions of the world and highlighting major fractures in terms of the capacity to cope with, respond to, convene and mobilize populations to block their spread. Entire territories are struggling with insufficient means to inform, protect and secure their populations, underlining vulnerabilities that directly affect the communication capacities of specialists in these regions.
In the face of this pandemic, a vast mobilization has been launched to bring together specialists and researchers in their communication roles and responsibilities. As this unprecedented global crisis calls for all the synergies around the world, the time has come to build solidarity, to mobilize and to strengthen the cohesion of communication forces on an international scale. To rebuild hopes in these uncertain times, to harness the power of combined knowledge and know-how has become a necessity in order to redefine our vision of a better future, one that cares for nature and our humanity.
A unifying commitment – An active communication
An international declaration of commitment to humanist values is underway to mobilize this solidarity and share it on a large scale. The International declaration of communications professionals and researchers for a healthier, viable, better world is a call for this solidarity throughout the world. By endorsing the declaration, the specialists and scientists of this community publicly commit themselves to use their communication expertise to support our societies in this necessary transition towards a healthier, more viable and better world.
To emphasize the strength and solidarity of this gesture, this declaration needs to be heard in all regions of the world, which is why it is circulating in six languages spoken in both hemispheres : French, English, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, German.
Professional and scientific networks, associations, organizations, collectives, agencies, federations, institutions, small and large group working in communication from around the world are invited to endorse this declaration.
